When you are the new kid in town you probably need some help. Berlin can seem overwhelming at first and you will have a lot on your mind. However, EURASIA Institute will offer you everything needed to settle in. We support our students with a range of services:

If you have booked health insurance through EURASIA Institute we assist you with the processing of claims, bills and queries.

On the Registration-Day all the processes will be explained and the students are introduced to the new environments with all the do’s and don’ts.

(Registration-Day is mandatory and takes place on Friday before course starts)

> Police Registration – the following documents are required:

> registration form (completed and signed)

> valid passport

> correct current address

> tenancy contract (only if accommodation is booked with EURASIA Institute).

> Opening a Bank Account – the following documents are required:

> valid police registration slip

> valid passport

> Bank activation letter

> Visa-Extension

EURASIA offers a unique insurance package to their students in cooperation with our partner “Care Concept”.

This package includes a health insurance that fulfills all requirements for the Visa extension in Germany as well as liability insurance and an accidental insurance to make sure that you have a safe and secure stay in Germany.

Our staff will assist you with all the necessary documents in order to open your new bank account.

Student service helps you with all questions regarding your insurance and will also inform and guide you to find the right insurance once you switch to university.

Have a nice stay in Berlin!


In a shared apartment, you will have your own room, while kitchen and bathrooms are shared with other flatmates. Board (e.g. breakfast) is not available with this accommodation type. This option gives you a chance to meet with new people from different backgrounds.

Living with a homestay during your German language course in Berlin will not only be of great help to you in learning the German language fast, but it is an interesting intercultural experience as well. Some students feel more comfortable living in a homestay rather than in a youth hostel, a shared apartment or a student residence. If you choose this option, you will have your own furnished room, while kitchen and bathrooms are shared. Homestays can be booked with or without meals.

This kind of accommodation has the advantage of greater personal freedom and less risk of intercultural or generational conflicts. You will nevertheless be in a building with many other people from all over the world and you will have the opportunity to meet your neighbors and make new friends.
